A friend of mine points out that we aren't going to legislate our way to a stable climate. We need to engage every sector of our society: business, government, institutions like religious congregations and schools, non-governmental organizations and each and every member of society.Given that global businesses have enormous effect on the direction our world is taking, it is imperative to have business working hand-in-hand with government to make the changes that are needed.
Governments of all sizes: local, regional, state and federal can design and develop programs and policies to engage businesses as partners in improving our environment and addressing climate change.
